Really gramps? do you wear glasses? First person perspective is an exiting perspective... if it's that bad, why did it get a 8.3 on IMDB? (2,300 votes in one day). You can always watch Enchanted if you don't like "motion" movies... lol

Well I just finished watching this & it was a waste of money, it was only worth waiting for dl'ing the rip.
Most of the action was the 4 people running, very few shots of the monster & they werent even that great of shots. But it had a more realistic POV than movies do. I dont want to spoil the movie so I wont say anymore except I was very disappointed. Watching the trailers before the movie was more exciting. So save your money.

lol, no fighting. I don't believe that all the votes were kids, eve if it is 90% kids, I've seen better movies get lesser votes in a longer time frame. I don't believe in those ratings VERY much either (IMDB). There's not a single movie for me that is "crap" like a lot of people say (i even enjoyed Jason X...lol... well some parts). Everybody likes something from every movie. When people say crap i say go make a movie... to each his own.

I didn't think the movie was all that bad. The only thing I didn't like was the shaky camera movement and how stupid the characters were.
They never carried any kind of weapons to defend themselves against the smaller creatures, they went to the center of town to save a love interest right where the monster was,they saw rats running away by the 1000's and they walked instead of running also, they deserved to die because of how stupid they were lol
I think the movie would of been 10 times better if done with normal camera style instead of the blair witch way.
The monster was bad ass and no way near Godzilla, that was kewl.

I wouldn't go so far to say it's the best of 2008 but it was a pretty enjoyable flick. If you're prone to motion sickness then you probably will have a hard time with the camera. The movie drew me in though and it left me with more questions than answers. I like that in a film, especially a film like this!

Just like the characters and the people in New York, you have no idea, no real clue as to what is happening and why. It is complete chaos. If you go to this movie expecting a story and a happy ending then you WILL be disappointed. This movie is designed to put you into a chaotic, horrible situation. If you let yourself get lost in it, you will feel hopelessness, confusion and pity for the poor people involved and this is exactly what makes the movie so powerful.

I had a great time watching it, the girl I was with screamed and held on tight during a few parts. If you give it a chance and let your imagination accept what is on the screen, it can be a very terrifying experience!

i have to say this one of the best movies i saw in a while.
the photography and the director are awesome , sometimes i felt it's real not a movie
before i've watched it , i thought it's another monster movie but actually it's very good written and very nice movie .
the real actors are the camera man and the director

Overall it was a decent movie, I can see why IMDB rating was as high as 8.Xish. Reminded me a lot of a Godzilla remake though.
