Upgrade to uTorrent 1.7.6?

Hi,

I just got a message from a tracker saying that all uTorrent users should upgrade to uTorrent 1.7.6. I currently have uTorrent 1.6.1 and I really like it. Should I upgrade to 1.7.6 or will that affect my connection/stats/chances of staying on other trackers?

Nearly all trackers are forcing 1.7.6 so just do it!

As long as all trackers accept the new version is fine by me. I just hate when some trackers want you to upgrade and others ban the new clients.

Seriously you don't get banned, the client gets banned, so you can't use it to announce. Half of you don't even take a sec to look around, before posting what ever idea comes out of your head..

It will be if the tracker you are in banned it.:yup:

Means: it will be broken (useless) if........ banned IT.(the client; not the user)

all i can say is,

It was a rare bug until the entire bittorrent community was told about it, now its not that rare anymore, and anyone with a bit of know how to do it, probably will do it somewhere sooner or later.

I would never upgrade it until all trackers recommend it. I upgraded it yesterday and found i can't connect to horrorcharnel. I guess, 1.6/1.6.1 is still the best if you got sp2 or higher. I had my utorrent crashed with sp1 but since when i upgraded, it's never a problem. I guess, all other trackers except danishbits and digitalhive still allow it.
