Hey I'd be interested to know the actual difference between these two... (besides the potential security flaw that's apparently not an issue on either of them now)

i gotta say 1.7.6 now since i cant use 1.6.1 on all my trackers anymore.

The newer version always has additional features that older version doesn't has, despite of it's stability I think I would keep choosing 1.7.6, even though someday it's reported having trouble/bug, it'll get fixed in time.
On the other side, the trackers will keep go on with the new version. They surely always update their torrent client lists from time to time. So we, their users, just have to keep follow their rules :)

lol there are many many changes from 161 to 176 and its to long to tell all if u need more info go to utorrentcom and see..

and also its much more secure than before:)

This is a simple decision. If you like new features and keeping up with the latest the coders come up with you pick 1.7.6, while if you are extremely paranoid and despite many much better people then you checking the latest utorrent programs, you still feel that utorrent is out to get you, then you pick 1.6.1,

Is there any actual reason to stick with 1.6.1 other then the stupid rumors? I have yet to hear of 1 good factual reason to stick with an old outdated version. Just because its not exploitable doesn't mean its better then the updated one.
And no, "if its not broke dont fix it" is not a good reason.
I've upgraded with no problems, no extra traffic, and no extra resources being used on any of my systems.
I would like to hear some well thought out posts from you die hard 1.6.1 people out there.
I'm all ears here people, please enlighten me.
