Problem Wid Windows Sound

for a while now ive been having a problem with the windows sounds...such as when u log on and off or empty the recycle bin ..all those sounds...n the msn messenger sounds....the sounds just havent been there :huh:

evrything else works fine...music and all..ive tried evrything ...serched around the windows sound properties...and everything seems to be fine..coz the sounds doo play in the program events settings window.....

need help ..any one have any clue what the problem could be

i run a xp

[Dapadipz]

goto control panel and click sounds and audio devices

then click on the sounds tab

select a sound for each activity
