Here we go again.

I am a bit of a Black XP Junkie

Most of the versions of Black XP are FINE!!! And most of the releases are not "buggy" either, it really depends on the Version

The one you do not want to get is v7.0 from wrestlezone that one had some viruses put in by someone after it was released!

ATM there is a Black XP v8 now but I haven't gotten that one yet.

There was a split in the developers one side continues to improve Black versions the other has mad a "Vision" version

BXP is a "homemade" version of XP pro, without the need to enter a key or anything they fully pass all windows Genuine advantage and are fully updateable and with some very useful and cool apps pre installed. They also have whats called a WPI (Windows Post Installer) that also has tons of useful apps pre-registered or with keys. Anothe thing I personally love is all the windows themes and awesome wallpapers it comes with.It is usually based on a Student or corporate edition.ATM the Black 7.5 version was stated as being the most reliable ATM. Here is some info on that one.


It is a custom made version of Windows XP with a Black Theme to it also it has a Windows Post Installer with loads of apps. No key needed fully unattended version and fully updateable.

There are plenty of "nay sayers" out there but I have NEVER had a problem with any version I have downloaded and I have been using Black since v4.

Although thats a mindblowing review, What do you think is better? I remember there was a XP Revelations out a while back as well as a Borg edition, OH and a Blue XP too ( though I'v never seen it) but none of these were nearly as good as BXP

You don't have to WGA crack ANY of the Black XP's they are pre patched AND the will pass the WGA and are Fully updateable. :)

My advice try it out see if you like it. I mean I keep hearing people say "Virus! OMG OMG!" but really whats the big deal? When you do a fresh install scan the thing if you find a virus format and install something else. Theres no big loss.

Release Notes

Several issues in this Remastered version were addressed.

Firstly the Driverpacks;

I fixed the issue where they left a 1.3 gig folder in the root of C drive,
They now clean up after themselves.

Fixed the RocketDock and removed unneeded apps.

Added several brand new Visual Styles and Themes.

Scanned it WITH 5 different AV Softwares, THIS IS CLEAN.

Currently there are 11 DriverPacks available, all for the wnt5_x86-32 OS
platform:

sounds like just a slipstreamed xp with a bunch of registry changes made on the cd and a different install gui... not that special. i made one too. it had a matix themed install screen and it had a bunch of the same registry changes listed here

I'm quickly becoming a fan of Black.

Version 3.0 fits on a CD btw. Which is awesome if you have clients who need XP, and right-the-****-now.

Black is my favorite flavor so far.

Last XP is also very strong, but Black is much more styled, while remaining a minimalist in terms of CPU load.

Tiny XP has the Tiny corner down, and is still a worthy competitor.

But Black gives and gives. You've never seen XP until you've done a Black install with bells and whistles and said to yourself "Holy Shitake mushrooms, I have all that software and an interface that > OSX > Vistcake > XP > Ubuntu > God's PDA?"

Its a sweet feeling.

I'll tell you this though: Despite having all the drivers one could think of, it doesn't install so well on truly old machines....say +5 years old or so. If you get install errors during the initial install ("could not load so and so file"), just give up. I spent about 10 hours trying to DOS my way around those errors, but in the end it was far less than worth it (though I did get it installed).

Decent Machine + Black == Ready to Roll.
