Alot of people I know use imageshack to host there images, but a few of my friends asked if there was an easier way to upload images, especially when working on blogs.

So I got to thinking and came up with this simple utility that lets you do the same as the site except it allows you to keep uploading images, and displaying the links required to post the image/s.

Small in size and handy for those who use imageshack.

Sounds good :smilie4:

Imageshack used to provide one themselves that was available from the right-click context menu, but for some reason they stopped providing it..

Any chance of yours being available from the right-click menu in Windows Explorer?

i.e. from the file, I want to be able to right-click, and choose "Upload to Imageshack"...

Barbarossa (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../members/barbarossa-5) so you mean from the internet explorer window like a toolbar or something? Coding a toolbar to explorer isn't a problem, but getting the right information to talk to imageshack maybe.

I asked imageshack about there software and got no response, the response to this tool has been varied, I have received alot of emails from bloggers who have praised me saying thanks you as its made there life easier to upload images on there blogs.

You can find that here on the forum:

http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-software-23/t-torrent-database-400-torrent-sites-updated-weekly-219829

Its just a glorified version of torrent sites that have been submitted by users, the database gets updated weekly, averages around 430+ active torrent sites, new sites are added most of the time. It was released in Jan 2007, and it recently had its 1 year anniversary with 1.72 million downloads. I guess torrent means something to someone out there.

Try Imagebot (https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/1174) with firefox, the best imageshack uploader I found.

Synaptic (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../../members/synaptic-194990) there is a flaw with using addons for Firefox which has been posted on there site and they're still trying to fix it, originally I did create a toolbar addon for Firefox and was ready to distribute the addon, but when I found out that adding addons to firefox causes the bookmarks to disappear, and sometimes for the stored passwords to disappear I was hesitant to throw my release to the community.

So I tested the theory with the latest release of this post with a handful of addons and found that it did reset Firefox completely and I would lose bookmarks and passwords.

So I went on a different approach and created the standalone application which does almost the same thing.

I still use Firefox, but I wont use there addons.

Synaptic (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../../members/synaptic-194990) For some people they may not have problems, but for the majority of people I spoke to, it was otherwise.
