when i first entered private bittorrent sites i was always wondering, why do so many people choose sexy female avatars - sometimes half naked.

i always thought a avatar should somehow present your personality and not who you would like to fuck.

after a while i learned something quite interesting.

i'm on many private tracker forums and every forum has this thread titled "how old are you?"

when you browse through the answers (i guess i saw almost 500 of them) you learn, that 99% of the female avatars are aged under 18.

you can almost tell with a 100% probability: sexy female avatar - teenager.

isn't it cute that they share their lonely, pubertal wet dreams with us? :lol:


it doesn't have to be female avatars btw. i can sometimes tell someones age by seeing his avatar. it's really funny.

If a 14 year old puts together some thoughtful, interesting or entertaining prose, I'd treat it in the same way as if it was the composition of a 50 year old. Contemptuously, most likely, but that would depend on my mood rather than how long the person had been alive.

Oh yeah, I pretty much agree - it's simple to discern in this environment whether a person is worth bothering to speak to, and the vast majority of teenagers simply aren't.

However, when a new person (or a new handle, anyway) posts for the first time, I try to let my reaction to them be influenced by their words rather than their avatar, age or moniker. As I said, tho, maybe none of that matters anyhow as it normally just depends what mood I'm in. Mostly I feel like a sarcastic twat :dabs:

I thought about changing mine , even found a 1500 avatar pack but sadly they sucked worse than mine . I think I found maybe 5 of the 1500 I would use as the other good 20 or so are already in use here .
