Basically seeds are people who have the file and are shareing it. Leeches download but don't share.

Yes and No When using Bittorrent the leechers are the ones downloading from u.

Not exactly true. When using BitTorrent, Seeds are people who have completed the file and are only uploading. Leeches are people who have not yet completed the file and are still downloading, but most likely uploading as well.
