I'm in a jam here.

I'm looking for this song, but I forgot the words and I can't write music.
So maybe if I hum it, you might be able to help me.
It goes like this:
Daaadum daadum dadum dadum daaaaa
Daaadum daadum dadum dadum daaaaa
daadam daaadam dadam dadam daaaaa
daadam daaadam dadam dadam daaaaa

Well, the rest is basically the same, I think.

Any thoughts?

It is a very simple tune of course, so it must be the Bolognese lovers anthem.

Of course!

It's that one by the guy who used to be with that group!
You know the one I mean?

Boy, he was really good, I wonder if he's still married to what's-her-name?

I know he's still married, but he cheats on her a lot.
Well, less and less, cause he's not getting any younger, is he?
The group, was that the one with the other guys?
If so, that's not him.
He always sang solo,I think.
(although this was actually a duet, if I recall correctly)

No, no, no!

You must be thinking of the other guy.

This one's easy:

It was written in 1966 as a dirge lamenting the breakup of his band, Daa aaand da Daaaaas, by the late Daaaaazzy Daaaaaz.

It received little notice as originally released, so it is more likely, Ron, that you're remembering the cover released in 1988 by his son Daaaaazzy D. Daaaaaaz's band, Daaaaaazy Jr's Daaaaaz Band.

Daaaaazy the elder never remarried after the tragic jello-wrestling accident which claimed his wife, Hortense, in 1962.

He died, penniless in Vienna, in 1971, when Daaaaaazy the younger was only 12.

Young Daaaaazy was 17 when he discovered his father's original master of "Daaaaazy's Blues" in his Aunt's attic.

He dedicated himself to music, and debuted in 1980 with a poorly received collection of tunes entitled "Daaaaazy Jr. Payz Hiz Doooooz", but hit his stride with a more muscular version of his father's only minor hit, adding horns and syncopation.

Daaaaazy Jr. lives in Jamaica with his wife, What's-her-name, and 14 children; he is due in court to decide paternity issues involving an un-named woman who claims she gave birth to Daaaaaazy, Jr's 45th, 46th and 47th illegitimate children.

Hope this helps, Ron! :)

It was Tom Jones!!
"I'm left, you're right, she's gone."
The other dude was James Dean Bradfield. (whoever he may be)

The way you hummed it, it sounded like 'Funiculi Funicula' performed by Helmut Lotti
