I think he was talking about this:

Click -> here (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0446102213.1201707107@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccehadedeikijffcflgceggdhhmdgmj.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=226218&category_oid=-29779)<-

But it costs 50 not 10. Maybe it was labelled wrongly at your local PC World, if that is the case and you live in London tell me where your local PC World is and maybe I'll drop by.

To be fair when I went to the cheeckout and asked the bloke to confirm the price he scanned it and said they were down to £17.99. To which I replied "Nah mate it's down to a tenner, it must not be through your system yet". He said "Fair do's, I'll discount it to a tenner then" and we concluded the transaction.

Yeah well, I went to Currys and got it for £5.99, and they also gave me a free microwave :snooty:

Look at Novatech or PC-Specialist or something else. :smilie4:

the customer assistant guy/gal who "helps" you around showing you stuff, but really doesnt have a clue as to what s/he's doing, gets £10 for every laptop s/he sells and they'll do anything to get it. So go to PC World and haggle your ass off. My uni-mate got his £900 laptop for £700 so you can imagine how desperate they are to make a sale. The catch is they gave him £200 worth of shit software which returned on the spot anyway so no big deal.

Misco and Dabs are also good.

Morgan are good for end of line and re-furbished.

I got my Acer N35 for £100 from Morgan about a year ago. Built in GPS and stuff.

That was a really great buy.

 soz....my mates got some from them and they were fine. To be fair I kept ordering a 3.6ghz P4 and it just couldn't take the pure gaming abuse that I gave it at the time. Their returns policy is decent anyways so don't let me put you off completely. They are a bunch of wankers though.

A few of the boys I used to play footie with are postmen, they are lazy cunts. Fact. Around where I live, there was a problem about some mail getting delivered.

After several years, there was an inquiry and the postie had been picking up his sack full of letters and small parcels, emptying them in his garden shed and going back to bed.

He never opened any of the letters to steal the contents, he just couldn't be fecked to walk around delivering them. A few of my friends (also postmen) knew him and said they had no idea he wasn't doing his round.

Don't think criminal proceeedings amounted to much but he did get the sack.

sack lol

When I don't do some work for a client, I blame it on postmen for not delivering it. I always swear blind that I posted the letter. People around here have all read the story (it was front page of the local Argus :smilie4:), so they all just accept the excuse.
Pretty handy, actually.

thebazzla
01-31-2008, 12:26 PM
well the problem is they don't do security checks so any crim can join the only way they get found out is that they plant test letters on your round to see if they get delivered or not in some cases
