has revtt banned utorrent 1.6.1 as in the allowed clients ection is says verion above 1.7.6 are only allowed, but on the homepage it says that 1.6.1 is allowed.? can some clear this up plz

Due to a remotely exploitable crash bug found in previous versions of µtorrent (including early 1.8 alpha), we're asking all members using this client to update to version 1.7.6.

Previous versions will no longer work with the tracker. This goes into effect immediately.

That's what happens when you have and announce Open sign-ups on a relatively good tracker.

80% of those 4000 were dupe accounts.

Wicked nice cleanup. Greediness indeed. Using 1.7.7 Most sites approve. Sticking with it, none of the earlier versions were giving me any problems but trackers were still banning away utorrent versions. I hope they stop their attack soon. It's my fave client.

The funny thing is every one treats a tracker based on the 'level', so when a 'high level' tracker opens up all the traders promptly dash off to make a duplicate a/c to trade with, but if it is a low level tracker that they can't get anything for then the sign up goes smoothly ? And you all wonder why tracker staff loathe traders...............
