Capello - what a cunt

I do feel bad for Beckham, his effort in an England shirt outstrips that of any of his peers. One could argue that it's only a friendly and with England not managing to qualify for the Euros in the summer, it wouldn't have mattered if the chap had got a 10 mins cameo to reach his 100th cap.

I think Capello has made an astute footballing choice by leaving him out, there is no footballing merit to picking Beckham for this game. He's a known quantity and not played competitively since November. Having a look at a younger player, such as Ashley Young, is a better use of this friendly.

The media won't like it, but.

Good decision Capello.
We want to win, not be nostalgic.
Otherwise we would have hired Keegan. :emo:

Glad we've got a boss who isn't senti-mental. :pinch:

ha, your Keegan comment was great! Has anyone heard how Capello's English is coming along? Some of the quotes from him on the BBC Sport website make it seem like he is fluent already...

Well, they're hardly going to write; 'Capello said today to the press box that; "Eeet eez an honour zat I can be un Eeengurleesh manageur".'.

Dick.

Given that several of the England players can barely string two words together does it really matter? Graham Taylor never really spoke English...think Sven was the only manager in recent years who has. Hoddle maybe, but only after an interpretation by the holistic psychic had been cleared by David Icke.

Dunno - was that harsh?

Thought he was talking about exo-body, who has been here since Nov 2003 and only really felt compelled to comment on this thread, only to be patriot-missiled to fuck.

That'll teach you to wear your skeleton on the outside.

Cyborg cunt.

Amazing how he detected the post though - must have some sort of radar in that suit.

Sorry about the Icke thing - felt it was necessary for completeness.

Anyone read a book by David Icke, btw?

I have, it's called The Children of the Matrix - he's mental, if you were wondering. Bloody good read, but.

I posted that I'd read that book before and The PM'd me (or messaged me on msn, I forget) to ask about it. Poor bewildered man.

It's a damn shame.

What harm would there have been in giving the man ten minutes ffs.

He wanted his 100th cap, so it has been related.

Nah, let the laddie get the 100th cap in a friendly. Fuck sake, let him be Captain for 10 minutes.
