Okay something really weird happend. Got to a page with a Text box in the middle. And i didn't think i posted this thread. So i'm like screw it.
But then i see this. And its just the title. No post :blink:

Anyway :

This is like the one in the other forum. But instead of what kind of connection, post the screen shot or URL of the speed test. Curious to see if kazaalite sharing people upload at good speeds :D

i did a speed test on dslreports with the uni t3 connection

can anyone give advice on how to recover the results of that test?

i did it in september last year, from a uni in scotland, i believe and the download was rather large, the upload was over 4000kbps too...

anyone who can help (on such limited info) would be greatly appreciated

it said my download was 256 and my upload was 128
which is odd as it's 512cable with supposedly max 64down and 19up (which is what i get during actual up/downloads)

that's exactly what i say

but they just don't believe me

it's happened a few times now

people just say "nah, it's clearly photoshopped"

i want the dsl reports link so i can show them it's real and unchanged...

They're just jealous of your clearly superior speed, which of course makes you better than them right? ;)

Anyway, I got 1492kpbs for DL, not too bad, only 4.5 times less than StoneCold's!! lol

just thought I'd pass that through....and I closed the window and forgot to take a screenshot, so you'll just have to take my word for it......i'm too lazy to test again

how do you people get speeds like that? i have cable and i only reached awsome,(i share my connection with 4 comps but still.)

take it many times and see if it stays the same....sometimes your connection is real fast and then other times its slow....it depeneds on when u test it...

I got 3654 download / 754 upload

I was merely pointing out that people claim that your speed is 'photoshopped' because their's isn't as good.

So they think:
"My speed isn't as good as his, so I'M not as good as him!! Quick, I must shoot down his defenses before my inferiority becomes apparent to all!"

I was just making fun of the non-believers, that's all!

I usually enjoy reading your posts! Although I seemed to enjoy 2nd Gen a bit more......I wonder why that is? What changed?

No actually that's how my connection is supposed to be. Its supposed to be 10Mb down 1Mb up.
But my router cuts it down to 6.8Mb down :(

You can only recover if you did the speed test as a memeber.

If you become a memeber you get the location of a server nearest you. Which helps. .Since the main two are always full.

You should be getting around 80-90 on kazaa.

What's the problem?

Have 6 downloads on at the moment and most of the time it just says connecting......past speeds have been 0.6 Kbs. :huh:

It could be the files i am downloading (T3 and Pirates of the Caribean) but I also tried popular films and the speed is still s**t.

Last night I uninstalled K-Lite 2.4.1 and went back to 2.1.0, but it hasn't helped.

Have tried all the tips but still not getting those speeds. Decided to rebuild my PC and reinstall k-lite (maybe that will help!).

:P oh you never know, it could be a mouse or something that's set up home next to the cpu, so rebuilding is worth a shot.

seriously though, if you are on NTL, you could try unplugging the modem for about 30 seconds (from the mains supply with the pc switched off) and then plugging it back in and booting up. The only problem i think with this is that it'd only help if you were experiencing bad download speeds across the board, rather than just on kazaa.

Rebuilt my PC and last night was downloading Pirates of the Caribean at 80kbs.

Will test it fully when I get back from work.
