I have waited for a month and a half for signups to be open there, and no freaking luck so far... Does anyone even have invites? If someone does, please PM me, I need some concerts. :)

Is DIME membership closed? Every time I try to sign up, you're always full.

We are still accepting new members, but there is a cap in order to keep the load on DIME's servers (and the load on our moderators!) at a manageable level, so that users can get the best possible service and support.
Every ten minutes around the clock a sweep runs that removes any accounts that have expired since the last run. DIME's home page (http://www.dimeadozen.org/) tells you how many new accounts were opened in the preceding twenty-four hours, and that's a good gauge of how many openings there might be over the next twenty-four hours.
So keep trying, and good luck. We do not have a waiting list, nor (at this writing) an invitation system. You just have to snag a slot when one is available. We've found that if you keep trying for about thirty minutes at a sitting a couple of times a day it should not take long.

The load on the server will be smaller if they scan for inactive users every 10 minutes? Also, thanks for this, haven't seen it so far.

Thatīs the kind of things that are a mystery for me: they write something that only is interesting for non-users where only registered user can read it.

The info is actually on a public page linked above.

Just keep trying, it is totally hit or miss. I used to have an account and due to a hospitalization it was closed as I was gone too long. I eventually was able to get it back, took about a month, I just had the sign-up page as one of the pages that opened every time I loaded firefox.

Now getting back into BSoup, TL, and some others was much harder... and a few I still have never gotten back into, yet I am surviving. :D

Cheers!

ps try the tradersden, a good live show site that is usually open.

edit also bt.etree.org
