At the BAFTAS the other night, Atonement failed to win the Best British Movie award, but did still win the Best Movie award.

I fail to see the logic in this. Therefore I am boycotting all award ceremonies until someone explains to me what the point of them is, and how they decide who wins.

With regards to your above question I really liked Die Hard 4.0 last year.

Aye, No Country For Old Men is a visual treat that wonderfully subverts what we expect from storytelling and has some superb performances from its actors but does it have a man fighting a jet fighter with a truck? No.

They should have nominated that truck for the best vehicle ever oscar

Oh snap, Oscar nominated, and I haven't seen any of them :blushing:, shame on me.

I thought atonement was boring as as could be. It was neat to see how they potrayed both sides of the story, but Best Picture? Not even close...

winner is atonement
blood for something
juno for actress
the rest for whatever

Juno for Best Original Screenplay.

Ellen Page was great but the Oscar for Best Actress will probably go to Julie Christie.
