OK, your year is up and you have returned safely from your year in isolation on your desert island, (if you don't know what I am on about then you should have looked at me last topic shouldn't ya  :P :D ) and you find out that you have the chance to do a bit of time travelling as a fancy new tool has been added to Kazaa Lite allowing you to travel in time to a location and time of your choosing, any time that has ever been or will ever be. You will be able to take your family, pets and friends etc if you want so you don't have to worry about leaving them. However there is a catch, it is a one way trip so once you go you ain't coming back!

So when/where would you go and why?

p.s. If you go back to the past then no 'Back to the Future' esque future telling exploits. (Thanks to hybrid2k4 for pointing this out :P :D )

(Just realised that this looks like a feckin high school english report question, this one can be less than 2000 words though, 10 will do :) )

I would go back to the start of the 80's and with my knowledge of the Guitar I would own everyone else and I would end up being in Metallica \m/ or some other cool band of the time.

I think I would go back to the time of the garden of Eden, cut that blasted apple tree down and destroy all the apples before Eve got a chance to eat one.

i know they already did it in back to the future 2, but i would just go
back 10-15 years. just far enough to get rich from all the major sporting
events i would then bet on.

I miss the 80's :( , I loved them, the music was great, everybody had a style.
Look around now, people all where the same thing, all have pretty much the same hair :(
Back then, we had big hair, bright flashy clothes uniquiq styling, oh and them leg warmers and headbands the blondes used to wear

They were great, full of life, everyone now just mooches thru life worrying about money :( :(

Sorry ZC, went a bit off topic there  Got carried away :D

What you said "Look around now, people all where the same thing, all have pretty much the same hair :( " Can be said about the 80's to everyone copied I mean look at Glam what your talking about everyone copied it. You were either Glam or Thrash or a Prep. Everyone back in the 80's had big hair or long hair. I fail to see how everyone in the 80's was so Independant and didnt copy anyone.

No, Take a look back, everybody had their own style B) You're right in saying about the groups of style, but everybody tried harder and hareder to out do each other with over the top fashion and hair, that is until the shell suit

Exactly B) They had a certain flare about them, and I still listen to the music all the time, made my own double cd 40 tracks, but classics not the ones that are on every 80's cd, some raer ones like Deborah Harry Rush Rush and Haircut 100/fantastic day B)

I loved the Pastel suits and no socks thing B) But you're right, I was'nt old enough to be a yuppie, I realise a lot of bad things happend all over the world and some major upsets in this country with govorment, but like ZC said, I just want to remember the good things, and I will always call the 80's

The Neon Decade

I think it suits B)

Excellent B) Keep it up and don't get hung up on learning riff's, keep on the chords too ;) Learn a few bass runs for exercise and warm ups to loosen your finger muscles, remember! The stronger and fitter your finger muscles are, the quicker they retract, letting you play faster......and always remember the golden rule............."Slow Practice.....Fast progress" B)

Keep Rockin'....... B) You'll be playing all the songs you always wanted to in no time ;) B)

Jonno B)

Edit:- KLF Experience sounds good but rings a little too much of KLF..........and Jimi ;) How about MouseRock :D or my old bands name.....Sanctuary B)

yep totally true, id go back to the 70īs too, 80īs were a piece of shit, far far too cheesy for my liking. i mean, tainted love ? come on, its even embarrassing talking about it now, so ill stop.
