in the olden-olden days then, before tapes.
I used to love making tapes, I used to love the challenge of fitting on the songs in such a way that they faded out properly before the tape ended :01:

You talking about those big black cd's?
Barbarossa

You know it's far easier for my brain to accept that music can be digitally encoded on a silver plastic disc, and be decoded by detecting reflections from a laser, than it is to say it can be encoded into a wobbly bobbly groove in a black plastic disc, and be decoded by vibrating a diamond needle..
I mean that's just mental :ermm:

Worserer is that wobbly bobbly black plastic sounds better.

Now you mention it...
How exactly does a HD work, where do they store the info, and in what format is it stored. Do they still use binary for that?
I've just realised I've been using this technology all my life and don't really understand the basic workings of it! :fear:

I think HDs use knots in string - bit like the ancient Incas.

There is no string in my HD. Do you think I need an upgrade?

Tings is short for Things.
Not really street slang, just a Jamaican accent.

True, I spose.
I got the coreavc decoder to deal with h264 codec - but kept the rest of the settings the same - and it fixed my occasional lag like a fox.

Yeah, cheers for the heads up.
Imagine my surprise, tho', when I found out that it isn't freeware.
All the software developers I've ever spoken to are total cunts so I stole it off of torrent-damage.
