it was a grand last xmas, i know it it cheaper now but i dont think it 600 quid, it includes 17inch visble screen monitor, scanner, printer, digital camera, iomega 250mb zip drive, at the time i thought it was a good deal.

so what would you get for a grand nowadays then?

just been upto financial services to collect my pay, whey hey!

i not arsed if i paid to much for my pc anyway, it seems to be good enough for me, and anyway, i am only a student so it doesn't have to be dead good, if if i was ripped off, then hey, i get paid far too much for doing far too little anyway. as you have probly noticed with the amount of time i spend on here recently.

Everything in my specs, yes, including monitor, for $1500.

I now have 1024 MB Dual Channel DDR 400 with 256 MB matching pairs.

I read an Anantech article about performance degredation in mixed matched pairs so I added another $100 of debt to my sig...after purchasing another 2 256 MB modules...and if anybody wants to buy 2 128 MB modules I will sell them for $50 US for both...

but right now that computer is down. I don't have hours to play with my PC these days because I need an A in Calculus and nothing less...

After I finish this Calculus course I am going to install a RAID 0 configuration. That should speed things up a bit...
:)

Right now I using my old PC (which I sold to my dad for $500) its specs are [email protected] GHz w/768 Dual channel PC800 RDRAM, geforce MX440, 19' FD Trinitron 1024X768@ 120Hz...its pretty nice...
