View Full Version : Torrentbytes down?

Is Torrentbytes down or is Verizon now blocking them also? When I attempt to go to the website I get a black screen with 403 Forbidden Unauthorized IP address. Any ideas? Also just so you know my account is in great standing, my ratio is either 2.3 or 3 so I don't think that's why, but who knows.

Works fine here. When Unauthorized IP problem occurs I restart my internet connection. It changes my IP number and I can access the site.

If you keep having this problem try accessing the site from a proxy.
You will probably not have problems d/l since the tracker itself does not block all ips.

Verizon doesn't seem to care much about torrents or piracy as far as I'm experienced. What other site are they supposedly blocking?

No wonder my torrents weren't working. I thought my University finally disabled torrents on my IP, cause other people have been throttled to the point of quitting torrents. :pinch:

Wow that's irritating. This was my goto tracker after UK-t.
Since they were sort of affiliated I hope its nothing catching....

Seems they have been having issues over the last few months where the site/tracker would go down for several days once a month. I know they had some DDoS issues in the past.

When I googled their irc channel I found a statistic page:

- Wednesday 00:07 (2009-10-28) :: Site/Tracker: Down for good. :: Do NOT PM anyone without permission!

- Wednesday 02:07 (2009-10-28) :: Site/Tracker: UP-ETA ~6AM UTC. :: Do NOT PM anyone without permission!

- Friday 17:07 (2009-10-30) :: Still down, no ETA and you won't be given a reason yet either. Don't ask.

It's just topics from the support channel but it did look like someone was ready to give up on Torrentbytes but was probably concinved to work through it. There may be some internal issues right now based on that topic. So who knows how long until TB closes down even though they have stated that they definately wouldn't shutdown for a long time.
