seems vista sp1 just wasn't the answer anyone was looking forward to. over the past couple weeks i've heard even more gripes about vsp1 being even more dog shit than previously. i've heard it blocks appz from working and other things that just isn't making vista any more attractive than be4.

Vista Sp1 kills (http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/02/22/vista-sp1-kills-third-party)

maybe now vista is completely over? i currently have vista ultimate 32bit installed and all my games work, but every now and then i get driver incompatibility issue or something and have to uninstall drivers and reinstall then... whatever. we'll see what happens to vista.

anyone try out this sp1 yet? i have not. does everything work well for u? i've also heard of vsp1 just continuously rebooting ur pc while installing sp1. seems retarded.

I'm using SP1. So far I haven't had any problems with it at all, but I also haven't seen any noticeable improvements across the board.

I once installed Vista and everything was slower...it works only if RAM>2Gb:lol:

This is why XP is still the answer to all my problems. By now they should of had if not all then most of these driver issues sorted out. Guess everyone will have to way until Vista SP2 out. At that time Windows 7 will probably already debuted. Then the'll stop support for Vista like they have XP (Well almost).

i've recently upgraded to vista sp1 after a few windows updates screwed up my vista rtm.

i've noticed that sp1 is more stable and a bit faster in a few things.

i havent had a single problem with sp1 so far.

i read a list of the changes in sp1 on the web some time ago and the list was massive.

there's no reason to not upgrade to sp1 according to my knowledge.

cheers,

Microsoft wouldn't be able to live with XP forever, they'll upgrade Vista and do more, ofcourse. Use XP if y ou've one Stable PC, use Vista if you've more than one PC.

i'm using vista SP1 x64 (4gb RAM, 4,3ghz C2D) and it runs flawlessly. not a single problem so far, the ones i had were due to abusive overclock, hehehe, bluescreen FTL...

i'm quite impressed with this x64 SP1 i must say. Best OS i've used in so so many years.

Didnt kill any of my programs except I had to unplug x-fi and 3com nic before installing SP1 or otherwise I would get bsod and installation fails. And when it was done I would have to reinstall x-fi drivers to get it working again.

Im thinking both x-fi and vista suck equally.
