Boy this list could go on forever but here are a few of my favs:

Saving Private Ryan
Braveheart
The Thin Red Line
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Midway
Glory
The Longest Day
We Were Soldiers
Behind Enemy Lines
Enemy At The Gates
Hart's War
Band Of Brother's (this isn't a movie but a 10 part mini series)

This is by far my favorite movie genre.

Curb scene ---- isn't that scene from American History X...

Yea I thought so too... FMJ takes place in Vietnam, and is a pretty sick movie as well, but there are no curb scenes. They are both great, and IMO should be standard viewing.

The Longest Day is an awesome WWII movie. John Wayne is the star of the film. This movie is very old and is in black and white, and you probably won't be able to download that one.

Band Of Brothers is a 10 part mini series that was on HBO. It follows the lives of the soldiers in the 101st airbourne, Easy Company. It shows how the guys bonded together to become one of the elite fighting force that the US. military has ever had. It takes them from the start of the war all the way through the capturing of Hitler's Eagle Nest. An absolutely awesome show. This you will be able to download quite easily. I hope this helps

the longest day ROCKS!!!

but saving privte ryan is more realistic (The D-Day part that is) with the longest day the men just walked on the beach but still a great flick

The longest day is cool, but what about U-571, The dirty dozen, both based in true events.
The Great Scape.
Good morning Vietnam! (not a wwII, but a good one)
Memphis Belle
Empire of the Sun
