Buring Error

I have a problem with my burner i used fire burner to burn a file and i hade easy cd creater 5 installed also. The fire burner ran a test run and didn't complete and now my burner cant ready any kind of disk please help

have you tried doing the simple thing and rebooting?

also, try inserting a disc and using a program like nero, windows media player etc to read it rather than windows explorer

when i put a disk in there all it dose is read it for like 3 minn and comes up with nothing and when i tryed to use a diffrent program to read it the program frezzes i have tryed and reboted uninstalled the drivers amd reinstalled and still nothing. do you have any other opions? please

have you tried using the cd on another pc?

you may also want to look into replacing/updating the firmware for your cd drive. go to the manufcaturers website and they should have links to download new firmware

try just a google search if that fails...

firmware is a little more complicated than drivers...

I have the exact same burner as you, but that's not to the point. I have Nero. But I heard easy cd creater 5 doesn't like any other burn program. I'm supposing fire burner is a different program. If so uninstall it. If that doesn't work uninstall easy cd creater 5 & reinstall or go with Nero instead.

as of right know have have gone as far as take the whole drive out and reinstalling it i went into safe mode and un installed the rom and reboted and hardware manager found it and installed it. but still no go. as of right now i have no burning soft ware, i have a feeling the when i used fireburner and it ran its test run and it didnt but any data on disk that its still stuck in that phase do burners have memery?
