Ive just bought a Chaintech Apogee motherboard and a new case, with a view to building my first homemade PC.
After unpacking Ive found a bag with plastic strips about 4 inches long and curled over a bit at one end.I dont know where they go,Im guessing they are something to do with the motherboard mounting but seeing as they dont seem to fit anywhere, the instructons are rather technical and dont mention mounting the board Im stuck. The only obvious mountings are metal A shaped pillars, which I think Ive sussed out ok.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what these plastic strips may be?
Im stuck before I even get started, things aint looking too good!

They could be designed to fit smaller motherboards in. if it is an ATX full case that is.

Maybe they are extra covers so that if you open a slot in the back of the case the can be used to close those slots?

Maybe they are drive mounting slides?

Maybe they are covers to fill in front where CDROM drives fit.

If you could do a bit more of a description I'm sure we can pinpoint what they are.

Did those part come with the case or with the motherboard?

Can you give us a brand and model of that case?

The best would be if you could post a picture if possible.

The case is a jeantech jn424sb.
There are 8 strips,3 black and 1 white have "L" stamped on them,3 black and one white has "R" stamped on them.6" long,2 countersunk holes in each and one small peg protruding on the opposite side to the countersunk holes.
They are a similar shape to the end of an expansion card, only not bent as long as exp cards(10mm long along the bent part)
Main problem is that I was in such a rush to unpack and get started,I dont know whether they were with the board or case.
Thanks for your help guys,I hope the description will help you.

Well the best I can come up with is this:

Look at this web page: http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/Jeantech_Cases.html

The image shown at that web site is a bit clearer than the one I post here but I put a red arrow to where I think those rails go.

The 'L' signifies Left and 'R' Right.

I hope this helps you. :)

Thanks Somebody, that looks like it to me.
Finally I can start the build! I was just worried about fitting the motherboard straight onto the metal standoffs, thinking that maybe they were part of the fitting kit.
Again,thanks for you help,much appreciated. :)

No problem. :)

And just if you are still unsure, you are correct that there is only the small metal standoffs that hold the motherboard. Be sure to use the standoffs only in each place than aligns with holes of the motherboard and try to make it so each hole is supported.
