Today Is Possibly The Most Important Day

Every time I finish one of my famous binges, I end up feeling rotten and swearing to end it. I don't drink for awhile, but then I go back, and have that famous "one more bottle" or "one more smoke" and it starts again.

So, I did it. I signed up with AA. I hope that I can finally ditch what has become an amazingly difficult habit to break.

If you are 16, and excuse my "Leave it to Beaver" upbringing, who supplies you with the alcohol, money for such, and place to consume. Or more to the point, where are your "parental units".

I&#39;m outside of home, I left a few years ago.
I buy my own alchohol, from money I get working.
Occasionally I talk to my parents, but they don&#39;t play an active role in my life anymore.
And I buy my alchohol at grocery stores and wine shops, using an ID I picked up in the East Village.

Your life is surreal to me. Best of luck, and most of all, strength. I have seen too many lives ruined by alcohol to feel any differently.

I have a good friend who&#39;s sober. One of his sayings (he&#39;s got a lot) is: "I have no problem today that a drink or a drug won&#39;t make worse." Good luck & keep the faith. God bless. :)

Let me get this right, you are a 16 year old alcoholic, who left home a couple of years ago.

Your see your parents occasionally, but they are no real part of your life.

You work to get enough money to live and to fund your alcoholism / smoking. Indeed you go on binges. Presumably you also pay rent, buy food, clothes etc.

You use an ID you picked up in the East Village as proof of identity when you are buying the alcohol.

You also have enough money left to allow you regular access to the internet.

Could you please tell me where you live, not exactly obviously, just the city. I am absolutely astounded and like Hobbes find your life story surreal. You really do have to get the alcoholism thing sorted out or you will not see 17.
