It's very simple. Shoes say a lot about a persons personality. When I meet someone, one of the first things I do is look at their shoes. We use shoes to express the way we feel, different shoes for different moods.

And ofcourse, a woman's wardrobe is more complex than a man's. We have shorts, long pants, skirts, dresses,......It's almost impossible to find shoes that match every outfit. ;)

Good looking women don't really need more than a couple of pairs of shoes.

With the exception of a few (Jonno ?) we are NOT going to be looking at their feet.

And of course if you go shopping for shoes with them, they always ask 'what do you think of these'?
How the heck would we know ? If you want our advice take us along when you are buying underwear.

Male shoe essentials:

1. standard tennis shoe- everyday use.
2. high top shoe- for that extra ankle support.
3. running shoes- I bought these in case I was chased, otherwise they collect dust.
4. pennyloafer- work shoe
5. casual loafer- for bars/clubs
6. sandals or old tennis shoes(waders)- for float trips.
7. suit shoes- don't know what they are called, but I have them- for weddings and funerals.

Men require a maximum of 7 pairs of shoes.

i only need 7 pairs of footwear.

1. Trainers - for everyday wear, going to uni etc. (not like Nike or Adidas though).
2. Football boots - for umm, football obviously.
3. Dress shoes - suitable for goin out to clubs/pubs. (unless it's a student pub, the trainers/jeans are the order of the day.
4. Boots - general all-terrain bad-boys.
5. Smart shoes - for weddings etc.
6. Work shoes - steel toed/black/strong/comfortable.
and last but not least -

7. Previous trainers (now a bit tatty) - for doing anything messy, like going to T in the Park (music festival) or umm, decorating.

I think women need to many because of the different styles/colours required to wear with their outfits when attending various teddy bear picnics and dolls house tea-parties. :P

http://www.piczonline.com/client/titey/no.gif I disagree: White tennies - (for all-around multi-purpose use)
Black tennies - (for weddings, funerals, etc.)

Two pair are all that's required. http://www.piczonline.com/client/titey/yes.gif

1. standard tennis shoe- everyday use.
2. high top shoe- for that extra ankle support.
3. running shoes- I bought these in case I was chased, otherwise they collect dust.
4. pennyloafer- work shoe
5. casual loafer- for bars/clubs
6. sandals or old tennis shoes(waders)- for float trips.
7. suit shoes- don't know what they are called, but I have them- for weddings and funerals.

Men require a maximum of 7 pairs of shoes.
http://www.piczonline.com/client/titey/no.gif I disagree: White tennies - (for all-around multi-purpose use)
Black tennies - (for weddings, funerals, etc.)
Two pair are all that's required. http://www.piczonline.com/client/titey/yes.gif [/b][/quote]
Lets all go barefeet for a day !!

Wee mouse will be redundant but who cares.

Look, it's this simple:

1. steel toe docs for general use (were formerly used for school) eg motorbike, pissing about, fighting etc

2. chuck taylors for pretty much the same general stuff

3. This one isn't necessary, but, one pair old trainers for gettin filthy, muddy, sandy ,shitty etc

AND That's it

or maybe the one off wear shoes for formal things (but i borrow my dad's for those)

You're all wrong!!

Any well dressed man should have at least 20 pairs of box-fresh sneakers at all times. Gotta be "Old School" originals (not ridiculously coloured re-issues) preferably Adidas!! ;) As for a more formal shoe - one pair for every day of the week, this enables a bit of stock rotation and this keeps wear and tear and unwanted odour to a minimum. More specialised footwear such as running shoes, boating shoes, waders, hiking boots, ski boots, etc should be purchased when needed and stored appropriately. ;)

What is everyone's favourite shoe/trainer?? And what is the most anyone has paid for a pair??

Proper Bo,

Hey there's no need for that sort of abuse!! You're still wearing your school shoes and you criticise other peoples dress sense - that's some funny shit right there!! And you wear your Dad's shoes you sad little boy!! Why don't you try buying your own clothes instead of poncing them off your parents?? And by the way I used to wear sweatbands in the 1970's (Red Hand Gang anyone?) so I'm way past them. Can't fault the "Chucks" though :D .

Lilmiss,

You definately know I'm a sneakerfreak!! ;)

Reason im still wearing the boots i wore for school: I only left in june
Reason I nick me dad's shoes: I hardly ever need formal shoes so what's the point in buying some? I cannot afford to buy any anyway AND the amount of choice in my size (12) is very limited.
