Alright, so I am trying to install Office 07 and am having a problem.
Fairly early into the installation I get a popup saying that Setup cannot find PowerPoint.en-us\PptLR.cab
So I explore the disk and navigate to the PowerPoint.en-us folder and low and behold the PptLR.cab file is sitting right there?
So I direct the Installer to the correct folder and it tells me it's an invalid location...?
Why does the installer not recognize that this file is there??

Then I get this:

Any ideas?

Probably a scratched disc your using or corrupt in some way.

If you downloaded office 2007 from a torrent site and have the .iso still on your hd, then try re-burn it to a different disc and have a go.
If it's still the same I'd re-download a different release of what you want to install.

I've seen similar to this when installing windows on hd's and everytime the disc had a small scratch on it. When the .iso was burned to a new disc it loaded up fine.

Good luck

I suppose you could mount the .iso with Alcohol or daemon tools ect.... but as I install office on multiple pc's I burn them to disc's.

I got office pro and Enterprise edition over a year ago and recently formatted my pc and re-installed Enterprise edition and as before it was a perfect install and 100% genuine :D
