I'm looking for a piece of software called Boardmaker, it's an educational thing used in making graphical representations and the like.

If anyone knows where I can get a torrent or something else I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

It's shared on emule. Looks like it'll take ages to get off of there, though.

Checked my usual BT-channels and whatnot and found nothing. Did find some possibles on rapidshare/megaupload from alleged warez-sites, but those seem a tad dodgy.

Cheers for the quick reply chaps.

I've never used rapidshare/megaupload so I'll take your advice re the dodgy aspect. I'm not fussed how long it takes to get so long as I can get it, I'll leave a PC downloading it till it's done if I can find a source.

I've used the search function and am downloading some stuff now. Hopefully the SecureRom has been removed.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry, I was busy doing stuff, or something else.

I just ran a search like wot you did, sorry I didn't get you a hash kind of thing, though.

Looks like you already found one, so that's nice.

If it's being a bastard, not connecting properly or something, here are some pointers (http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/help.cgi?l=1&topic_id=122&rm=show_topic) wrt routers/firewalls.

Usually you can find more specific settings on support forums for whatever firewall you're using.

Rapidshare and the like aren't bad in and off themselves, it's just that I haven't found any downloads on there that didn't come attached to one strange warez-site or another, for boardmaker, yet.

If there's a trial, that may be crackable with something off something like astalavista, but that's been increasingly crap lately, indexing more and more sites with bad aids and trojans.

I'm downloading a version just now, the speed isn't great but I can live with it, about 48 KB/s

I've also downloaded a "crack" which is called main.idx. However I can't find a main.idx in the installed folder so I don't know what to do with the "crack".

Like I said hopefully the version I'm downloading has SecureRom removed and that will solve my problems.

Cheers chaps, much appreciated as ever.

.idx sounds like an index file. Maybe it's really a txt, though.

Or it could be a dodgy, renamed. .exe

Be careful. :fear:

I downloaded one from e-mule which looked as if it had been patched however it was the same situation as the clonecd version I made myself. It lets the program install but when it does it can't then read the data so the programme won't work, as if the serure rom security was still there.

I tried emulating the ccd file using daemon tools but same again.

I'm downloading a different ccd and an mdf image and will see how that goes.

Thanks for the heads up on the e-mule thing snee, I was having no luck even getting a sniff at it with BT or usenet.

It does use a lot of idx files, which are index as you suggest but there isn't one called main.idx. So I'll be circumspect with that file.

Thanks for trying, old beans.

Got it working using the ccd from e-mule and daemon tools emulation.

Still trying to get a stand-alone copy but this is an ideal idea for now.

Thanks guys, special mention to Snee for being the top man. Get yourself an especially large boiled cod's heid for tea mate.
