I dunno about you but i love to seed.I leave my client open 24/7 and i have over than 60 torrents seeding some 3 months old.
I posted this thread to know who is like me love to seed :D
where are you hiding seeders :01:
so let's see what's the longest period you seed a torrent?
for me it's something like 6000 hours so let's here yours and how much torrents you seed right now?:)

for proof
here is it
from just two sites from 5 trackers i'm seeding on right now :P
this one for ten torrents:)

and this for 40 torrents:whistling

p.s: this isn't for show off.Seeding is the least thing we can do to give something back to the trackers which opened its doors to us.

I usually keep my torrents in uTorrent for a couple months after my download. Sometimes the majority get done grabbing in a couple weeks, so the torrent just sits there. But I like to keep it on just incase someone does come along. But after a two or three month mark, I'll delete it.

Yes, that is mine fetish also. Nothing better than to be one and only seeder on some torrents. Congrats to those monsters who seed more than 100 torrents.

seeding more torrents isn't necessarily better, because it means it will take longer for the leechers to get the torrents they want. don't think you are a hero because you seed 100+ torrents

( I had over 200 but i've reduced it to about 120. most are music albums because i'll seed my uploaded torrents on what/waffles forever, and I'll seed downloaded torrents from those sites unless there's many seeders. i think this is alright because there isn't much traffic and only about 3-10 of those torrents are active at any point )

I keep my torrents seeded for 2-3 months on average (in part because I am throttled by Comcast on my uploads, and because download a lot of music that usually takes a long time to get back to 1/1 anyway) and I seed longer if possible for poorly seeded torrents (usually on music trackers or Karagarga). Right now I'm seeding about 140 torrents, mostly music.

I dont get it either. I seed long time because thats how I am able to give back what I leeched and my upload isn't much to brag about
For all it does is keep the torrent alive for longer period

My oldest seeding torrent is 11/14/07 :) On a laptop too.

I generally seed as long as my harddrive space will allow before I move stuff onto disc or external drives

no its not that at all.

I like members to seed, but seed at more than 1KBs on each torrent they are seeding.

Bittorrent, is not Emule you know, where you only upload at 1-5KBs on each file.

The most torrents i have ever had in my client is 6, and even then i felt guilty, as i was only giving 10KBs to each one, where i could be giving 60KBs to 1 then move onto the next, so the leecher gets it faster.

But if u calculated it u gonna discover it's the same the peer will take 5 kb from u and 5 from another and so on till he fill his bandwidth, but I'm with u if u can upload all of ur bandwidth in one torrent, don't open 3 or 4, at least it'll cost less cpu usage and less upload sessions.
BTW, u don't want a gamespot level 20 in ur site? :P :whistling:

I'm currently seeding 402 torrents. I seed for months on end as much as i can.

I don't seed many torrents longer than 2-3 days. But I seed effectively. Now that I have some more bandwith, I seed more, but I usually clear out what I can a few times a day.

I just don't think I could handle hundreds of torrents listed in my client. Too confusing. I think older torrents should just die and I never grab old torrents. Keep it fresh, keep it fast. But I do admire your seeding efforts guys. :)
