Using XDCC

Does anyone know of a guide anywhere for using XDCC? Specifically the problem I'm having is that I am often not able to connect (I get DCC pending error), but it could be from anything because I was just doing stuff, pretty much unsure of what I was doing anyway.

It's most likely a firewall and/or mirc configuration issue. Specifically, the default configuration for DCC transfers and accepted files will be part of the problem. Mirc has all files set to ignore by default so you have to turn that off and make sure to click the box to prevent it from coming back on. If you poke around in the settings long enough you'll figure it out. If not, google.
