My Firewall Got Hammer Like 20 Times By Netbios!

Lucky I had my personal firewall up, even the perrgurdian didn't see this scanning by NETBIOS! Man, on my firewall log it says Im getting attacks like every damn 5 min. Anyways, what exactly is NETBIOS? I know it scans your system, what else does it do if it breaks your firewall? :ph34r:

I've never heard of NetBIOS..but the other day mine was hammered by NetPD over one hundred times. So all I did was do a restart on my comp and when I turned everything back on they weren't hitting me anymore. :-/
