Brandon has been admitted into an Intensive Care Unit following a car accident he had in the early hours of this morning.

His brother informs me they are unsure if he will make it as his injuries are extremely severe.

Further details are not known as obviously, his Brother did not have time to talk properly with me. His brother is aware of his online activities and thus came online to inform people while grabbing some of his things.

My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones and hopefully he pulls through.

I (zephyr) will post more details when and if I can provide more information. No torrents will be uploaded today.

It puts everything into context a little, for me anyway. No matter how much we achieve in life, no matter how much effort we put into our lives, and the lives of those around us; it can all be threatened in a split second.
Brandon, I have never talked to you or encountered you, but I have heard of you. You are a well respected person in the filesharing world, highly regarded by those who know you and you have a huge following. I'm sure this is even more true for those who know you in real life, as you seem like a very caring person and you apply yourself 100% in everything you do.

Here's hoping that you will make a full recovery, and I believe you will. There is a lot of good, positive energy being sent your way by all of us here, and everyone who knows you, in the form of prayers, etc. A lot can be said for this, it is often underestimated and sometimes mocked, but when faith is put into something, things can be willed to change.

I'm with you.. I don't want to be disrespectful or eaten alive by FSTers, but it's all rather fishy. Even some of the FTNers have become sceptical.

Trust me, I'm a really empathic person and I feel already bad. Noone deserves to be in such situation, especially not a young person. But if it does happen to be a "joke" or an attempt to get attention, then it really went too far.

Update 23/03: It appears Brandon was driving whilst under the influence. He was drink driving. Some of FTN members may have been the last to have spoken to him before the accident. Please all PM me me with any information you have, as little or stupid as it is, I want to hear it all.
Hes condition has stabilized, however this does not give any indication to anything.
It appears there were no casualties either which leads me to think he crashed into a wall, tree or something. I still don't know specifics.

It may be conjecture as to what really happened but at least he is still with us.

And I would not at all want to be apart of a community that would have thousands of people assume an accident of this magnitude really happened then it turning out to be a joke.

Update 24/03: I was asked by his former roommate and close friend to post this and leave it final.

"Hey ****** my name is <removed>. I was Brandon's former roommate and grew up with him. If you could post this it would be much appreciated.

I've seen many people asking which hospital they can go to visit him and calling in to see which one he might be in. Please be informed that NO hospital will give you any information unless you are in the immediate family. Hospitals take privacy and confidentiality very seriously and can be sued if information is given out without the permission of the family. If Brandon's location was to be given out and placed in a public situation (online) where he was put in harm or danger, the consequences would be immense. If you know Brandon personally you know how to contact the family to get the information needed. The last thing they want is for this information to end up online. Let me repeat that; Just because you know Brandon's name does not give you a free ticket into his whereabouts. I had to call his dad to get any information and also show a photo ID in order to get to his room.

I would also like to correct the misinformation about him drunk driving. While he was intoxicated during the time on irc, he was sober in the hours after when he left. On his way to meet up with his family out of town, he believed he looked down at his phone/gps and lost concentration. Witnesses say he veered off the road onto the shoulder where he tried to correct himself and lost control. His family told me he was probably fatigued from dehydration of the alcohol consumed earlier which may be the reason. While there was thought to be some internal bleeding and neck injuries, he has been cleared and is said to be on the "long" road to a full recovery."

Brandon wrote a note that I might post later if I feel it's appropriate. I'd also like to ask that if you know the ID of his friend to not hassle him for information.

Update 24/03: I was asked by his former roommate and close friend to post this and leave it final.

"Hey ****** my name is <removed>. I was Brandon's former roommate and grew up with him. If you could post this it would be much appreciated.

I've seen many people asking which hospital they can go to visit him and calling in to see which one he might be in. Please be informed that NO hospital will give you any information unless you are in the immediate family. Hospitals take privacy and confidentiality very seriously and can be sued if information is given out without the permission of the family. If Brandon's location was to be given out and placed in a public situation (online) where he was put in harm or danger, the consequences would be immense. If you know Brandon personally you know how to contact the family to get the information needed. The last thing they want is for this information to end up online. Let me repeat that; Just because you know Brandon's name does not give you a free ticket into his whereabouts. I had to call his dad to get any information and also show a photo ID in order to get to his room.

I would also like to correct the misinformation about him drunk driving. While he was intoxicated during the time on irc, he was sober in the hours after when he left. On his way to meet up with his family out of town, he believed he looked down at his phone/gps and lost concentration. Witnesses say he veered off the road onto the shoulder where he tried to correct himself and lost control. His family told me he was probably fatigued from dehydration of the alcohol consumed earlier which may be the reason. While there was thought to be some internal bleeding and neck injuries, he has been cleared and is said to be on the "long" road to a full recovery."

Brandon wrote a note that I might post later if I feel it's appropriate. I'd also like to ask that if you know the ID of his friend to not hassle him for information.

Glad to hear that he will be ok! And I hope the rumors of this being a joke will end.

Me too! Wow that is terrible news for anyone to read...I will pray for hhis family and friends! This is probably the saddest post i have read in a while because Brandon ,even though i did not know him, was a smart-fair person from what i know. A great person overall! I can not even post a crying smile. The BT community is a different place cause of.There is no room for jokes when someones life is on the line so-.. Again We should all pray in whatever way we do, for him and his family and friends.

Have just had an extensive conversation with Brandon's brother and viewed pictures of Brandon's condition.

Essentially, it will take a long road of healing, but he'll be back. Updates will come by way of FTN.
