A friend of mine had offered me once the unlimited use of his 30MBit fiber optics home connection if I support him with his monthly fees (of 60€ per month). At that time I didn't need it and I haven't asked since ... but this makes an interesting line of thought (and no I won't give his name away).

There are plenty of people out there who have some large home connections but don't use them to their full potential anyway. Why don't you ask for something like that? There's a good chance that an arragement like that is actually cheaper than renting a seedbox with unmetered traffic.

Just get a VPS anywhere. Even though it's advertised as 100/100 your real world speeds will be much closer to 50/10.
