I know there's a lot of topics about AV's. I've searched this forum & others. I have specific questions not covered in what I've searched/researched.
Seeking advice from people with first hand experience & knowledge only. No guessing or I heard.... Thanks in advance.
My system is rather low end. Don't laugh. WindowsXP corp w/SP1 & it's a 900Mhz Athlon (not XP), low end MB & 384MB sdram. OK laugh. Not looking for hardware suggestions.
OK I had NAV SystemWorks 2003 & NIS 2002. Got rid of them trying to find something easier on system resources. I'm using Sygate PFPro 5.1 & am very happy with that. On to my AV questions. Thanks for your patience. Right now as a resident I'm using KAV Pro 4.5.0.48, non-resident is AVG Pro. Looking for something lighter (as resident) on resources, still top notch in detection, healing & frequent updating & quicker scanning. KAV takes around 32 minutes, AVG only 7 minutes. Also must be easy to cr*ck & still obtain updates.
My aim was to set apart this AV discussion from others. Hope this doesn't offend anyone as being repetitive. Peace.
