Are FTN Invites Open?

Are FTN invites open? Or have they been closed?

If i am being offered an FTN invite in trade for seedbox access, am i being scammed? I heard they are open, also heard they are not.

FTN has very strict invite rules, which is one reason this tracker is so rare. Invites are only handed out by staff if requested by the member. FTN Power Members and above may request an invite once per month - Getting an invite usually depends on how active you are on the site and if you are seeding all the torrents according to FTN rules.

Edit: It seems that during the last week invites have been taken away from everyone until further notice. I will update this if there are changes.

Staff are also very much against trading invites and there is a good chance by doing so, you will permanetely lose your invite privledges/account.

He told me once he uploads 200gb he will get an invite and he will send me when he hits 200gb uploaded :(

It used to be that.

PU's used to get invites.
You got PU once you hit 200 gigs and had been a member for a while.

Now all invites have been removed...

Yep, invites are not currently being given out but it is possible the person was assuming invites would be re-enabled soon and thinking of giving you an invite after getting 200gb uploaded...however I personally detest trading/selling invites in any way. That is a big reason why FTN currently has invites disabled. Invites should only be freely given to people you know and trust IMHO.

I dont trade either, but he saw my request for SCT and saw i had a seedbox, and said if he can use my seedbox to go upto 200gb uploaded, he will let me have an invite, im not sure now though.

The invite requirments on FTN are being discussed and it's quite possible that in future that the requirments will change and it won't be 200gb any more.

No one knows when invites will be re-instated. It could be days/months or never...... who knows.

well it means ..a few of the staffers has invites..but U must ask brandon even if u are staff if u want to give an invite ;)
