I hear that videotron is the fastest around but they have a limit to their bandwidth. Speeds up to 7Mbps.

Bell's Sympatico is considered the one that overcharges for everything. I've read in their faq that they have the right to throttle with user activity so the rest of its users won't experience any downtime, supposedly.

ACN speeds up to 5 Mbps. http://www.acncanada.net/highspeed_quebec.asp

Vif internet. Basic, speeds up to 5Mbps, upload speed up to 800Kbps. http://wiki.vif.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=en:resadsl

Uniserve internet. Basic 5Mbps. http://www.ca.inter.net/en/max/promotion.php

There are too many to list. I've listed the ones I am aware of. I live in the province of Quebec. I would appreciate any suggestions any of you would have. Pro's and con's from personal experience is greatly appreciated. I'm looking to get the best for my buck. :whistling With the help of FSTers, every head counts. :fst:The more the merrier. :yup:

Thank you for the info, I will take a look. I'm in the province of Quebec.

Heavy into torrenting indeed. My average is 200GB a month. A 30GB or
60GB cap is overkill for me. Darn ISP's that try to control heavy users freedom of their supposedly unlimited plan.

fearful360 are you still with a dialup connection?
If so then I understand.
Indeed connections speeds would be better with DSL but where is the justice? They advertise unlimited total performance speed and provide you with something mediocre and throttle bittorrent speeds that is just unacceptable.

Rogers is a piece of crap. I had them few years ago. Worst ISP ever as I was disconnected half the time because of a virus that got on my PC

Bell has the worst customer service and since now they only have limited bandwidth stay away. I usually have to call bell 2-3 times to get someone who knows something and then call everyday until it gets fixed or they will never fix the problem

The best one I have heard is Teksavvy. They have unlimited package and pretty low price compared to other providers

Fastest I have found in Canada is www.zid.com but they only provide the adsl2 service to limited areas

Rogers and Bell, they have the worst reputations. :pinch: Thank you for sharing you info, I will still clear of those two.

First I hear of Teksavvy and Zid, I will look into it to see what it's all about. Videotron was on the top of my list but you gotta pay the big bucks to have an unlimited package.

Thank you for your time fazzy07.:)
