Were looking for who is interested in keeping the What Trackers Offer (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-what-trackers-offer-content-speed-pre-time-etc-235742) thread up to date. The member thats in charge of it now dosent have the time to. Any suggestion are welcome also. It would require that new trackers are added to the list when a review is posted in the Tracker Reviews (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-tracker-reviews-256067) thread and stats are updated also. Some light upkeep should be done weekly and full look through monthly perhaps...

use a bot or something to totally randomize it every week. that would bring some fun to the invite section.

edit: oh, sorry. i didn't read the topic carefully enough. my statment was meant for that other thread.

I am willing to help out. That thread is very useful to find trackers. It doesn't seem too complicated. I think I have enough time, but I would just need to be told some more details about what responsibilities this job entails. Let me know. :)

well, in case u need some help, i have some free time around here.
Doesn't seem so complicated and i am registered at a lot of sites, which i can always use to cross check the info that is posted there and its accuracy.

anyway, further details of what exactly u expect from that thread would help out.

edit: nice tagging at this thread...

I don't like that the levels only based on rarity.I wish the new team you choose will make some improvements to the system.
I hope they consider other factors like content and speed and security.

by the way
are you need people to make reviews for the trackers only or also deal with the levels.
and do you need one member or they can be a team?

@ SAM

as for as i can tell this is not for the WTAW thread at all, its for the WTO thread, and the Tracker Review thread.

so the WTAW thread wont be changing hands at all.

Not many responses to WTO but I wonder how many would've jumped at a WTAW offer:lol:

I think a staffer should do it, or you should close it.

Let it be WTOWiki.
Everbody can edit it. Or people with set posts and join date.
And of course log the editors.

Any particular reason you feel a public member is not capable?

I created the thread and that was work enough; updating once a week is relatively easy, just takes a bit of time.

A non-staff member has been keeping the thread up-to-date for some time now but is no longer able to do so due to some family obligations.

This is how mods get started though - show some interest in helping to better the site, the willingness to help, and a bit of dedication, etc... I'm quite surprised at the lack of volunteers. :dabs:

That thread should be closed. And a new one started on something that actually matters. Like a trackers level based on content, speed, community, etc...

@staff
There have been a few offers to take care of the thread, yet you're waiting for more.. are there certain qualifications you're looking for?

We're waiting a week or so to get a few volunteers to choose from, but we're discussing the current volunteers in a staff section.

unfortunately, this thread is a symptom that shows the signs of times at the torrenting world.
nobody really cares about what a tracker has, they just want to know what it is worth. What can i get in exchange for an invite "there". And it all leads to some nonsense request threads, where one asks only for a certain tracker because "i want to be part of an elite". (contents? naahhh...)

I wouldn't mind to try.
