Just to let to all know that from now on anything without a pre-time (aka Custom packs) is COMPLETELY free!

Thats right, anything WITHOUT a pre-time is FREE LEECH!

Standard seeding rules still apply though, so don't think you can Hit & Run and we won't notice

A smart move from ScT staff to lure more leechers on torrents. I guess i dont need TB anymore as i can grab packs from ScT at max speed.

I was just thinking that this might steal a bit of thunder from TB, since having freeleech on all packs is one of TB's best features (of course, I'm not complaining). I'll still use TB for packs, but ScT's killer speed means I'll probably only download TB packs to get stuff I can't find in ScT packs.

It was not a move to steal anyone's thunder, or increase activity in general, but a move to increase the amount of people snatching and seeding the packs.

The uploaders use their free time to make these packs, often taking up 50-100GB+ of space on their boxes, to keep the users happy and people were almost hit and running on them.

After 1 to 2 weeks some of these packs were dead. It doesn't help that multiple sites steal the packs (some don't even take the effort of removing the -ScT tag), where it's easier to seed so people grab them there instead. With all the packs now being Free Leech it should encourage snatches, and vastly increase the life of the torrent, be it with completed seeders or even just partial seeders taking advantage of downloading a few free leech RARs from the pack.

Perfect explanation. Not only it will increase download activities and amount of leechers but also going to give users with slow connections lots of chances to improve their ratios.

Sorry Swax, when I said ScT was stealing TB's thunder, I wasn't implying that they're doing it intentionally or that that was their motivation - I was just saying that it makes TB a little less useful to me personally because I mainly like TB for its freeleech packs. Anyway, it is a great move on their part. Time to check out some packs :)

that is ok..but my point was why we need to open thread just becuase they have added freeleech on custom torrent,lol they will give as always same packs that was like before and then what..

at least they could add FL for torrent that pretime is less then 10min,then it would be something;)
