When I was 15 many many years ago(1954), I was a member of a mining first aid
team in Scotland. At that time mouth mouth was not a common method of resuscitation and was only recommended for use on babies. So my theory is that if this was in print 50 years ago then it was in use a long while before that. When did this person you are talking of die?

In Kings II in the bible Elisha places his mouth over a childs mouth and appears to revive it. Thats as far back as I have got at the moment. But I think thats far enough. I dont know though. Hope that is of some help.

my days are still the wrong way around

i've just been staying up all night and sleeping during the day for the past few weeks

God damn it , who kicked me out??? I clicked "add reply" with a reply the size of king kong. Im not taking that risk again . Here's the info very quickly . He's name was Peter Safar , born in Vienna , Austria , he was 79 years old. In 1959 he became a US citizen. He mmm oh yeah he died on Sunday. And @3rd gen noob , Yeah I read this in a local/independent newspaper , a local/independent MEXICAN newspaper.... so yeah sorta slow. And it was a very small article too...ohh and at the very last page of the newspaper. :blink: Crap , Im lucky i actually saw it.
