Alright couple months back i asked about backing up mp3's on disc. I was told you couldn't but did it tonight. Downside is i did it burned the folders before i figured i could just do the straight mp3's for the 700mbs on the disc. so my question as asked is would i be able to play this on a cd player? i just read reviews of a cd player which mentioned this saying the person could do it and wanted to ask around here.

Burning mp3's in folders is pretty standard practice.
My portable mp3/cd player has a button to go to the next folder, as do most.
I burn my mp3 in folders by album. To play them in a home or
car stereo, it has to say it is mp3 compatible. This is usually advertised clearly.

Thanks sparsely. I'm getting a 50 pack of cd-r's later. i'll know for a fact if this can work then since my stereo doesn't say so.

This site (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers) is helpful for figuring out if your home CD/DVD player will play MP3 discs or not.

I dont burn as data for 2 reasons
1 I like them to play on any CD player
2. You can't hacnge the gaps in between songs it always has to have a 2 second gaps for ect The album Pink Floyd The Wall You don't want any gaps

Ok so there is that, but I will tell you now there is nothing better than doing homework with a CD in there with 190 of my fav tracks on one CD, spend the money and get a MP3 Hi-Fi, its well worth it!

With certain burning apps, like ECDC 6, you can change the gaps when creating an mp3 disc. It also creates an Autorun playlist..etc.
