I've just set up one of the PCs to access the internets using a plug into a socket adapter. I think they call them a HomePlug Adapter.

Piece of pish to set up and it works a treat. It really is a case of just pluging the router into one and the PC into the other.

It gets a JP "Piece of Pish to set up" rating.

£70, I can't be arsed looking for deals and stuff for the sake of saving £20 or something like that. I know that's wrong but I seriously can't be arsed, I just decide what I want and get it at the most convenient place.

Mrs JP was fed up with problems with her wireless connection so I just bought that. I'm so impressed I'll probly get more. Apparently you can use up to 8 on the same network, however they must match. I got the Devolo ones.

And also it was for her so she doesn't really worry about trivia like price. Something needs a doing just do it.

Cleaning happens outwith my ken. I suspect people may come in and do it, however I have never seen it happen.
