the program piolet 1.05 is a very nasty spyware. It is extremely difficult to remove, almost possible to detect. It is a very very active spyware.

The fact that Piolet is notorious to have spyware included is the main reason why it's hardly discussed on this board (and other) - Considering that most of us have since grown an intolerance to spy/adware, we kinda disregard any P2P with that crap in.

Ever wondered why we talk about eMule instead of Sharedonkey? WinMX (sometimes) over OneMX? Why Piolet, iMesh and most other P2P clones are hardly ever discussed? ;) The only exception is KMD - And that's because of both our hate for it and our dependance on its obsolete build.

But considering that we had a Piolet ad on the K-Lite site, it's good to keep it known often. Thanks for the heads-up horse, although it is common knowledge already :D

Just don't assume that the Cydoor in K-Lite is the same - Too many new members don't realise that it's already in the FAQ that the Cydoor in KL is neutered (Not saying it to you wildhorse but considering the god knows how many who mention it already, this seems a perfect opportunity to recite it again ;))

No it's not. It's just an ad. You don't click on those banner ads that say you have a message waiting or that you won a prize. Do you?

I'm talking about the ad on the homepage. Not the Piolet program.

That's what i'm saying he said. it would have that one ad and that'd be no spyware or anything else. why even waste your time making a program with something everyone hates in it? he'd have to be crazy.

I'm not saying whether Piolet has spyware or not. I'm saying it's not unusual for Paul or VB or Jon to advertise anything. Be it porn, spyware or whatever. Cause it's just an ad. It is NOT a recommended program. It's not under downloads. It's a freakin banner ad. Not touted or recommended. Thats it. I'm done here with this thread. Peace.
