Cheers!

....although I am slightly worried as I was told not to be shy and go in there and sell myself. I did that and now they seem to think I am really good.

However, a change is a good as a rest and apparently they have never had a Management Accountant section before so.... :shifty:

I wish there was a good park and ride at somewhere like Braehead.

Why, are you based in a shopping mall.

That seems a bit mad.

Not as such. Will be out Charing Cross way.

Braehead is just a really easy jaunt from here. The rush hour traffic gets hairy after that point. There is no rail link to the Airport and Braehead which seems an insane lack of transport integration to me. There is so much space out there to have a big park and ride and reduce city congestion. However, that would require thinking about things rather than just slapping taxes on stuff and hoping the problem will go away :idunno:

Charing Cross. That's near me. :smilie4:

Is it a fake Charing Cross.

Good going, Les. I'm sure you'll do a fantastic job. You seem like a man who's always accountable for his actions.

Peace, Paul

An accounting adjustment you mean?

I have a funny feeling that is a baggable misdemeanour these days.

You're not going to Port Clueless House.

You're not going to Port Clueless House.

 I hope not - that sounds a most discouraging place. I think it is called Tay House although I haven't been there - we were assessed in the Mitchell Library due to reburbishment work in their own offices....either that or they didn't want us to see the place :ermm:

That's right at Charring Cross, at the end of Bath Street.

That is the place - a brisk walk from Central Station.

Well brisk is optional but hilly is a given.

Yes I noticed that on the walk to the Mitchell Library :ermm:

Oh well, I suppose a bit of exercise is good for one.

JPaul
04-28-2008, 11:50 AM
Indeed

For the last year or so I've been working in a different place. That means that rather than driving from my house to a car park I take the train in and then a 15 minute walk. It's not a lot, but from a health point of view going from sedentary to mild exercise has the greatest effect.

True story.

Just make sure you take your medication for your ticker, Les.

I dislike that advert on telly at the moment where there is a very nervous dog.

Well, it's probably not on at the moment - that'd be freaky.

Anyway, I can't remember what it's even advertising now, some kind of car I think, but the whole concept troubles me immensely.

There were complaints, many complaints.

It's twins apparently and one is just a dead nervous wee dog.

And they keep it in a really cold van just prior to filming.

Well done Biggy! Don't forget to scrub your hard drive before you go.

EHS

Don't use the hard drive, it is all done by the power of servers...which IT accidently scrubbed a few weeks ago and lost all our inboxes and the like. They said they would recover everything but apparently it was a particularly good scrub :idunno:

I think they used Persil or something else.

I wonder if I could go to reception and ask for Big Les? Do you think they'll know who I mean?

Do they have an intercom/tennoy in your new place of employment? :naughty:

It also seems that, since Les, JP and I will be in Glasgow city centre every day around the same time we are doomed to bump into one another at one point or another :fear:
