Almost all of the free MMO games are either a) in beta b) suck or c) all of the above... You know what you can do though... You can download the original EverQuest from one of the EverQuest websites legally. Then you can just head to http://eqemu.net and get the details to play EverQuest on the emulated servers...

Um yes. There are some really fun servers too. Like there is one that only uses the original EQ but it plays sort of like Dark Ages of Camelot where different factions are trying to gain control of cities and stuff. It's pretty cool. Then if you want, you can create your own "world" so to speak and fill it with whatever npc, monsters, items, and crap that you want.

Then again if youŽre gonna be cheap, you can go and register (http://secure.lineage2.co.kr/account/agreement.asp) for the Lineage 2 (http://www.lineage2.com/) beta. Download the client here (http://lineage2.cachenet.com/L2Arc_0715.exe). Mind you that the registration page is in korean though, so it might take you a while to figure out..

edit: oh youŽll need an id generator to get an id number for the registration. Get that here (http://www.dreamzonehk.com/korenid.zip)

bollox! i just found out that when ffXI comes out in NOV that you will ahve to pay to play per month ontop of forking out for the game itself.

That's a bit off topic there...

Anyways, you might like to try Tibia (http://tibia.4players.de/home/index.php?subtopic=news), it has the option of weather you want to pay to play or not, you get bonuses if you pay, but you don't really get disadvantaged much if your cheap. Last time I played the graphics where weak, but I hear they've improved.

RuneScape (http://www.runescape.com) is a fun game, there isnt much of a difference between Free and Members, so I wouldnt waste 5 bucks a month when all you get is a couple of new things.

im after another good game but at the moment im playing conquer online which im enjoying...but then again its the first rpg online game ive played so i dont know any difference.

but yeah, worth a look

Try here, pk-hq (http://www.pk-hq.com/community/index.php?) and take a look at some of the private servers for pay to play games i.e. Ragnarok online. Not exactly legal but that's what piracy is all about :D

And if your desperate, you can always try (ughhhh) Progress Quest (http://www.progressquest.com)
