Classic one is far better for me, as it allows you to be more organised about things. For easy access to your programs, put an auto-hiding toolbar at the side of your screen:

Classic

Doesn't use your processing power on fancy dan graphics. It's easier to work with and I don't feel like a tellytubby when I look at it.

Ummm... Lamsey ?? Classic ?

Confused I think...

This is the classic theme >> http://members.shaw.ca/userkey/userkey/XPview2.jpg

And this is the XP theme >> http://members.shaw.ca/userkey/userkey/XPview1.jpg

The Classic themed desktop does not have any rounded toolbars or taskbars. That is only available in the "new" XP theme.

I prefer the XP style start menu.
Once you get used to its layout its alot nicer than the classic. I don't use XP themes though only classic themes. Then I get the new menu and don't feel like a teletubby when looking at it.

I prefer to have no start menu, but that's probably just the extremely classic me talking. I use quick launchers, and a classic start menu, which is the closest I can get to making it vanish.

It will if you set the toolbar to 'auto-hide' and 'always on top' ;)

I totally agree :) I hate the classic one, it looks good on Windows 9x/ME but for some reason it just looks suckass on XP...don't know why <_<

You know Xp still comes with Progman; it's located in the system32 folder, so if you really want it to look like 3.11. You can always change it to the shell.
Actually that would be kinda cool, seeing a new machine, running XP, and using Progman as its shell.
