Ok guys here is the deal I start a Thread (here (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-best-pretime-dvdrip-dvdscr-294142)) very similar to this one just to know the best site for pretime on movies and people seems to have differences but the candidates are few site
so here I will start a poll with this candidates to choose the best one and it will help the sites as a feedback

It really depends on the torrent, time of day etc. SCT and FTN are the only two I can comment on and I'm not a veteran at either, so even that is limited. The fact is, both teams of uploaders do a fantastic job getting us content fast, with great pretimes. So if one has it 7 minutes and the other 9 minutes after pre, and on the next movie they switch off because the SCT uploader went to make his coffee or whatever, does it really matter?

Why DVDScr? They're always crap, if was R5... but DVDScr? With that crappy quality and letters/numbers always on the screen (if there's none then what is the res of the movie, like 5x5? lol) :sick:

When you ignore the comments left by a senior staff member of a certain site, then leave them options off the poll, you are in fact not giving everyone the opportunity to vote fairly and are in fact only pointing them in the direction that you wish to go, so what is the point of this poll when you have deliberately ignored such matters, no site will take any notice of this, and the rest of us know what is good and what is not already.

So any vote is irrelevant. You have steered them in a preferred direction, maybe not intentionally, and then again maybe so.

SCC has very decent pre times underestimated imo only a few mins but ScT (yes i finally got in!) is jus insane its mental i saw a dvdr in less than 6 mins i mean holy smokes!

Well TL is probably on the list just for respect but SCC i heard they have great pres, at the same level as SCT.

I can't confirm that as i don't have SCC but SCT is just great :P

Sorry, but I fail to understand why a couple seconds or minutes is so important when grabbing a free movie that you're not even having to pay for (excluding paying certain sites for them).

I must say that pre time is one of key factors in tracker, i mean how bad it woud be if i got the rls 1 sec slower then someone else...that woude have bad efect on my e penis size:(

Rofl about feeling post..guess most of the ppl in here are nabs cos they dont know how the things work. Its easy to win when u cut samples and subs from the releases.
But hey he is the sct staff, ofc he need to prove.
Ps: i dont see another site staff posting their pretimes from *racer*, mb they dont have to

Tis true most people in here are nabs but that is why Feeling is here to set them straight ;) The nabs here believe sites like SCC and FTN are the fastest when they are clearly not... and we aren't talking about the <1 second it would take to add a sample, its more like 30 seconds to 4 Minute on average for racing sites (CT, SCC, FTN, GFT, DH, ST, etc), and several minutes to hours for others. As for cutting out samples, ScT would win with it and without it so its completely irrelevant, the superb programming knowledge and skill of djGrrr puts ScT light years ahead of 95% of BT Sites out there on the web, maybe some sites don't believe that, but I guess what they believe doesn't matter because its simply the truth. And i don't think its because ScT staff have to prove it, because they already know they run the best site, its that it gets a person frustrated when idiots talk like they know what is what. ;)

And you probably won't see staff from other sites posting here probably because they know from themselves that ScT kicks ass in pre-times. ;)

ScL is the one that does freeleech to much, UK-T is the secret one, FTN is the 1337 one even..

but ScT is so much more than all those unnecessary classifications.

ScT maxes you bandwidth from the minute you start a torrent.

Forgive me if I missed it.. but what does this have to do with anything in this topic? Have you seen the sct code? Have you seen all other sites code? Perhaps you should get a tour of FSC. I don't understand how you can say what you just said. And how can you state that what other people believe doesn't matter and that it's the truth when you yourself can't back that up with anything other than words :ermm: Not trying to pick an fight or argument with you, but you hold no solid ground with that statement.

Regarding the last part of that post.. Every single portion of that is a personal opinion. The only part that might be somewhat true, is the pretimes. Yes, sct has some good pretimes, but so does scc and ftn has beat sct a few times too (yea, it has *shocker*). Now i'll ask it one more time. Is a few seconds faster really going to matter? Or are we having a 12 yr old pissing contest where the blue car is better than the red car just because it's blue..

Perhaps I'm a bit too old for this age group, as I truly have a hard time understanding how someone like yourself can claim a site is better because it lets you have a free and illegal release a few seconds faster. Please, help me understand. Is there a man with a gun to your head saying "IF YOU DONT HAVE IT IN 30 SECONDS OR LESS YOU WILL DIE!!!" or am I missing something?

SCT is known for something actually.. The site with no soul. The day sct can actually work together with other sites without flexing their e-penis is the day hell will freeze over.

I don't want FTN to ever have the fastest pretimes personally, because if we ever turn into a site that throws it's values and history into the trash and fills up with people who only want to be there because of a silly number.. I will put down my torch.

there are sites where uploaders have scene-axx, and others where uploaders just have torrent-axx / sct-acc (lol)

if you don't mind being directly into the source you can just like any other tracker ... a day or another the files will come to tpb too... just wait them there :D

pretimes are just one of many many criteria which make a good torrent site.

for some they seem to be extremely important. for others they are just numbers.

i don't mind about minutes or even seconds. it's just an insignificant value.

in todays competition of scene trackers you can get your warez nearly everywhere with the same speed at the same time. at least when you are an average user with an average pipe.

i'm not a buffer, pretime, tracker racing, ratio whore, seedbox kind of guy - just an average user.

the overall impression and charm of a site is more important to me than pretimes measured in seconds. especially when i'm sleeping. :P

to hammer home my message:

congratulations for being the fastest of them all. i know that a lot of work is involved in this fact.

Pretimes for the average user are like polarbear said. In europe people sleep when american tv shows are pred. When i wake up Lost ,Prison Break and whatever allready have 3 hours or so since pre. But what these few seconds in difference show is the difference between number 1 and the rest of the gang. If you watch Moto GP or Formula 1 you know that the difference of one second means you're this year's champion or the person who lost. So pretimes might be just on the paper for most but they do have their role

A pre-time would only matter to peeps that don't have scene axx and want to up that torrent elsewhere.Sct and other fast pre sites seem to be used as axx for a lot of other sites.

If it would really matter go and check out tracers in irc, thats a poor mans axx

ScT has the best community online. IRC + Forum (believe it or not, no forum or IRC is more active)

ScT IRC is the most active, u r right, similar to their irc is blackcats irc, believe it or not too :P
ScT forum is one of the most active forums but you must consider torrentbytes forums too which is pretty active (regardless that TB users database is 3x that of sct) but both forums are serious anyway (i.e, no spam forums there to just increase # of posts), I haven't seen its forum but I've read that it's also very active

it might not matter for the average user, but that 1 or 2 extra seconds make the difference between first and the rest. If ScT uploades 100 torrents 5 seconds earlier than FTN it doesn't matter that Brandon thinks this is not important, what matters is that this would mean ScT is first and FTN is second. This is just a random comparation of course ;)
