waffles IS NOT a dead site, i never have problems downloading over there, and i use waffles way more frequently then what.cd. staff picks let anyone with a decent connection hit and run everything because of the huge buffer they can get on the free leech torrents

I sure hope at a freeleech although I am not sure that this is the way to go... As discussed many times in both sites' forums, freeleeches are bad for their economy as they encourage people to build a huge buffer and then hnr in everything else... But on the other hand, this way you get to build a buffer, download some stuff thu helping another member increase his stats and so forth and everything keeps moving... Dunno...

Have you guys ever read the ratio rules on waffles and what? The requirements never go above 0.5 or 0.6 and are much looser for new users. Who really needs a free leech when your required ratio is probably somewhere between 0.15 and 0.6?

waffles had a freeleech some time ago, when i registered there.
what has the staff picks, but after 2 days noone is leeching them.

i hope these 2 sites do something new so that people start leeching, because 99% of the users are stack at some point and are afraid to leech anything

I wouldn't consider Waffles dead. I find good music on there all the time.

I think this is precisely the reason why they should not have a freeleech now or ever. A user shouldn't need a freeleech to fix their ratio, it's much easier to upload your own content and help the site grow. Freeleeches are much more appropriate for 0-day sites and other sites where there is little to no user created content.

Waffles has had about 4 or 5 free leeches since it started. I doubt they'll be having another one for a while.

Free leech usually helps leechers a lot more than it does seeders.

Free leech usually helps leechers a lot more than it does seeders.

If leechers had no seeders to leech off of, freeleech would be useless. It does help seeders over the long run because some people will not leech and mess up their ratio unless freeleech is on.
