Pedros vs E****

In your opinion which tracker is better for losssless music and comunity not just stupid level and why. I know not every1 has E**** but people that do have both of them trackers can explain ups and downs and which 1 they preffer thx:)

I don't listen to Lossless music because Mp3 has always been good enough for me but I know a few people in "E" and they love it there..

hmm.. actually, i think it would be great for somebody at e to download the list of all torrents with offline explorer or whatever, patch it somehow so there will be no private information and post it somewhere on rapidshare.. if it's not against rules of course ) so interested people could see what's there and finally live their lives happily whithout e. or they will become more motivated which is also not a bad thing :)

Anyway, i am quite satisfied with Pedros. Most of the flac i look for is there. And on top of that, seeding is quite easy...and oh, i like how one can't be a ratio whore there ;)

Pedro's has more torrents and seeders, E has more rare shi*. If you interested in those exact styles - then you might look no further, but if you not a fan of this type of music and really don't care for levels than you don't need it. For community I prefer specialized music forums, not the trackers.

There is no better, just different, and if flac is your choice then both compliment each other very well, and if you have neither then Pedros will serve your needs admirably for months to come and if you do find yourself needing that bit extra, then you will be invited to the other place without even asking for it.

Never been in E. Pedro's is fine for my needs. I love the variety but am fine with what I do have.

Pedros has some great content. I'm loving it there, no 'downs' to speak of that I can think of. Seeding is easy and there are great albums added daily.
Would love to hear from some E members as well, for some pros vs cons on that site.

I don't think posting that screen is a great idea even though I appreciate it. I mean, it took me a while to figure out what E**** meant, but you made it easy for the rest of the audience here, which is a lot larger than the userbase there.

whatit hink is that E***** have some diff quality flac files and i am looking for pedros and what ihave heard about is that theh have something in diff from pedros but ya if u are not a fan of flac releases then u can work with pedros but ya for a fan E***** is the best way as they are lossless and u know quality matters a lot so E***** is the best

I don´t know E****, but when sites have such reputation is almost always well deserved... and that site has reputation even for give away.

I am at Pedro´s and I think is a wonderful site... I´ve got there everything I needed and like Squirr3l and Tokeman said, no problems for seeding.

If you have the chance, join Pedro´s, for sure you´ll get what you want.

According to the screenshot Squall posted, Pedro's has almost double the amount of torrents. I'd assume uploading/downloading is more active also since there are a lot more users.

My guess would be that Pedro's is better for a normal user - more content, easier to get invited, etc, though E would compliment it really well, especially for someone who really loves FLAC.

They both have just about the same rules; one being that you HAVE to upload your own rips - not someone else's, and you cannot upload someone else's rip anywhere else. So I'd be willing to bet a lot of the content is different on each tracker - with the exception of torrent from an uploader who uploads on each tracker. But I'd also be willing to bet a greater majority of the member sof E are members of Pedro's, too.

But that is all merely speculation. I'm only a member of Pedro's as of right now - And I highly recommend it, by the way. :) I'm sure E is a lot like the other trackers that are difficult to get into - a great tracker, but not necessarily for everyone, and not worth obsessing over getting invited.

oh, that's funny.. i see ppl on e* contribute very "well".. 5 releases per person average.. wonder how many you need to release on other trackers to be invited there. and when ppl gets there, they maybe saying: all right, i'm on the holy land, mission completed, now i'll better go smoke some weed :)

..btw: someone from e*, tell me please, is britpop/indie pop/poprock any strong at e*? at pedro's it's ok with garbage, manic street preachers, liquido, kent, weezer, ash, eels, keane, cake, wallflowers... what about e*?

I could not have said it better myself. I too am not a member at E. Would I accept an invite to this tracker? Of course. The more lossless content the better. But not because it's rare or because it's highly sought after. I'm only wanting to be a member to double my lossless availability.

But Pedro's is satisfying me very well in all my lossless needs. It has just about everything that I want.

And the ratio whore thing is a big one. It's nice to know that you can get back to at least 1:1 on almost every torrent, just because of this nice little rule. Plus there's always someone leeching on something. The other day I downloaded an album that was upped nearly two years ago, and I broke even on it.

In my opinion, I can't see how much better E can be than Pedro's. The only reason why people seek out E more than Pedro's is because of this whole dumb ass rarity thing. And that's just lame.

E is no replacement for Pedros, far from it even, E is far more specialised with a much more deeper understanding & knowledge of their subject matter throughout their members whereas Pedros it's only the older & more senior members who have that knowledge, and they are members of E as well.

Pedros is for the masses who would like a gentle introduction to FLAC and what it is all about, if you like what it is and you learn your subject matter and you find yourself with some quality stuff to share, then you may find yourself invited to E without having to ask.

But seriously, E is much, much better than Pedro's. Fewer mean old people, much better torrents (Warp & Ninja Tune Discography Project, anyone?), and the reseed system (and therefore torrent retention) is the best anywhere, on any site, ever. Pedro's is decent, but the difference is Honda/BMW.
