i recommend wait till user base is close to 20,000(like 20,005) or lower and tell your friend to keep trying.

i've seen it go as low as 19,900 last month

so if not urgent, wait and keep an eye on it

i think the invite expires after a week after being sent

You get your invite back when it expires, but still it is easier for your invitee if you wait until spots are open.

I did invite a week ago - 200 unconfirmed spots but was 2 spots in registered users open I thought My friend would have to wait 2-3 days but got right in !

Tell him to install the check4change extension in firefox and set it to 5-10 minute intervals. He will probably have a week or two to use the TTi invite if you send it to him before it expires.
