Friend,let me tell you something...
I prefer to pay more $ to a serious company that is OBLIGATED to serve me well and face me as a customer...in other words i expect to have some respect from the guys i give them my money.
That hosting-ie company is really bad.I know a lot of people use it again and again.I respect them and i wish them good luck.
I rent 1 of their vps 1-2 months ago and they gave it without hard disk, full of bugs.Ive sent tones of PMs and my problem wasnt fixed.IT WAS MY OWN FAULT!!!I havent studied the guide here for seedboxes...the guy who wrote it was stating it clearly:''No service''.
Hope i was the 1 unlucky guy,but if you search at other forums specialised in servers and that kind of service you will see that i am not the only 1 complaining about them.

Sorry for spamming your post, but iam so angry with them.
Last post for me in this thread-not want to turn it in a flame thread.

I know of 2 people who each did 17TB in one month, they got their servers reformatted but still, that is some data transferred, I know of no other unlimited 100/100 mbit server that comes close to that.

Thing is, you have to be experienced, prob very experienced even, in knowing how & what servers can do for you, to get the best from an hosting.ie server, their no frills no support servers are not for the faint hearted.

yayyyyyy

No.

Could be this one (hosting-ie) since they have unlimited trafic right now but you have to pay for the setup to and the price it's really absurd, 75€(?).

Sick...

The point is that i would love to try out this server: Dedic Raptor Pro Lin 577

The price for month is good, 49€... It's acceptable but the setup...

And the cheapest one is the same price of kimsufi and well... We can't compare them, so hosting-ie isn't so good as OVH, at least for me.

SgtMajor
05-21-2008, 01:50 PM
Hosting want you to stay for longer than 1 month, which is why they have setup fees, if you stayed for 3 or 6 or months, or longer, then the setup is not that bad spread over that time.

It might not suit you, but it can suit many, many others.

OVH do not do paypal and are restricted to certain people in certain countries, hosting take paypal and don't care where you come from.

We don't always get what we want in life and not everyone can be pleased all the time, sometimes you just have to try & please the majority most of the time.

Which one is more user-friendly?

Also, does OVH accept U.S. I.Ps?

try to order Dedic Raptor Pro Lin 581

From people I know from 5 all 5 got double hardware,
Not sure why they are doing that but you will get nearly the same 577 but with Obteron instead of Intel and just for 29 euro setup.

Sure no guaranteed but for all that people did work that way:)

Sometimes it's better to share a very good server than it is to own a cheaper but lesser quality server.

TechnoMan80
05-23-2008, 11:33 PM
there are no less or better qualities :)
the setup with them takes ages exactly because for some reason they set each time new server, so they do not use old hardware.

each time you are getting totally new server with totally new hardware, bu teaks ages :)

but monthly price is low

Specially if you think about the bandwidth you can use there :)

since forever.

and, those complaining about the service, you just need to learn how to deal with people, I have absolutely NO problems with service.. the servers are faster than any ive so far used (4 companies) and i trnsfer about 12TB/month on average with no worries.

Obviously peoples experience differs, but Ive had no issues except setup time. Also, setup fees are bllshit, just talk to them and they will drop it if youre persistent enough.

TOrrentersOne
05-30-2008, 02:27 AM
yeah they are good,
I'm not using that much bandwidth,
trying to keep bit calm but in the end of the month in total I think it comes to 7-8 Tb :) and I've got few extra hardware too,
I have servers sins I've got 12 man, no where ever got any extra,
even not one stinky extra IP :)
from them I've got double RAM double HDD just like that free.

hosting-ie rocks Man

In fact that server Dedic Raptor Pro Lin 577
http://hosting-ie.com/content/view/15/48/

has no setup fee for 1 year, Setup is free
and costs 45 instead of 49.
click to order button and look to prices per cycles

I think if you talk to them for 6 month they would make a deal too.

yes it is not recommended to go over 10Tb

you can always be cutted off or be asked to reformat the server
Some people goes over 15-16 but that is a risk :)

WhiteWizard20

I had 13.2 TB of bandwidth in 1 month with Hosting-IE and they shut down my server. Their support really lacks bad. Stick with Vectoral. I was running my box in less than 48 hrs after I ordered it and their support is the best I've seen so far.

TechnoMan80
06-04-2008, 05:15 PM
yeah and how much traffic are you using with vectoral ?

and what are you doing with support? what you need them for?
are you discussing with them when feel sad? :)

hosting-ie offers an remote reset as far i know so what else you can deal with support ?

what is the point of the server with just 3-4 Tb ?

>I had 13.2 TB of bandwidth in 1 month with Hosting-IE and they shut down my server. All people I know are getting an second chance with them if server got over 10tb so far, they never shut the server down without an option of reformat, so why you did not go for it if server was so damn good that you did use 13,2 TB m8 ?:)))

Some people are bizaar :))

Hosing-IE and I have had our issues but overall the servers they have are great. The initial setup was slow but that is because you get new hardware not old crap. I have never had the server shut down on me and I have gone through tons and tons of bandwidth. The customer service is getting better as they seem to have taken notice of the complaints of their customers. They recently gave me free remote reboot and have been quick to respond to any questions after our initial troubles. The speeds are just fantastic. I have the Dedic Raptor Pro Line 577 Server that just kicks ass all day. I almost didn't keep this server because of the initial issues that I had with them but they have really put forth some effort lately so I do have to give them credit for that. For those of you on a tight budget I know of a Seedbox service that is all setup with uTorrent and is also available as unlimited bandwidth with varying amounts of HDD space to fit just about any budget. The speeds on these are good as I have often gotten speeds of over 8 MB/s which I found totally amazing since most pre-configured seedboxes are crap for speeds. Use this link to get free setup on one of these servers: http://eliteseedbox.com/index.php?r=31 for the novice this is a great service and worry free with excellent customer service that rivals the service that JHM provides without the high cost. If you are not a server guru and just want a seedbox that you can depend on then this is a good choice. http://eliteseedbox.com/index.php?r=31

I've got an option to double my resources on dedic 581, keeping the monthly price as it is and paying 50 euro ones.

any one on gone trough that?

TOrrentersOne

Yep, just pay, wait 24-48 hours

then get your server back with double ram double HDD

and enjoy your life keeping paying the same monthly 49 euro :)

yeah you can get some beer as well to feel it better how wonderful life is :)))

On average 7-10 working days, can be quicker, but can also be longer.

But, the good part is, your contract only starts from the day they email your login & pass to you.

So, sit back, take plenty of coffee and relax, and wait, and wait, and wait...................... :whistling

SgtMajor

That's it - you could be one of the lucky ones, most would be envious of a response time of that nature!

Using Remote Desktop Control, input the IP then the username (Administrator normally) then password and click connect.
