Going outside your given choices. Sygate PF Pro 5.1 is the best.

Can you get it free?

I believe there is a freeware version. Google is your friend.

The freeware version usally sucks, because they're like, "oh freeware version, you only get half of the protection you need, but if you get pro then you get the protection you need, only $49.99"

Norton is the the best even if you get it from the site ( i'll happily give you the crack) Zone alarm puts your sytem on lock down if you mes with your registry or services. Its kinda hard to get out of the lock down too.

I've never had that problem before, and I'm always messing around with the Services (WinXP previously, now Win2k) and occasionally the Registry.

Agnitum Outpost Pro is a very good firewall.

All for free if you know where to look. ;)

My combo is Sygate PF Pro & NOD32. Very light on resources & better protection than when I had NAV & NIS (NPF).
